Went to Wacky Bay with Rob today for some high wind kiting. I think this was one of the highest winds I have kited in. According to the Yacht Club sensor, the wind was 32 gusting to 45. It wasn't really all that fun. The bay was choppy, and the wind was too gusty to attempt any tricks. I think it would have been more fun had we gone somewhere with waves. The weird thing is that there was a drastic lull when we first got there, so we both put up 9's. Rob's inverted, at which point I rescued his board, landed my kite, and started pumping up my 7. I did do some fun high speed downwinders right next to the shore, that was fun.

Despite feeling rather under the weather, I went kiting this morning and had a good time. I was having a hard time timing jumps today, then I switched to Ed's Aggression board, and had no problems at all. I'm so glad my custom board is in the works, I can't wait.

Warm today, and windy. Not nearly as windy as they were forecasting, so we all rigged smaller kites than we normally would have, in case the wind picked up to the forecasted speeds. I still had a pretty good time even though I was underpowered and couldn't really do any tricks. I did do an unhooked waveride, but that was about the extent of my fun. Cold water today, too. It's gonna be a long winter...

Today, I achieved the oft-sought-after kiteboarding Nirvana. Perfect wind speed, perfect wind direction, perfect wave size and texture, perfect tide. The only new trick I tried is what I believe is called the "butter," which is when you turn your board sideways with only the tail in the water, kind of like doing a tailslide on a skateboard. I pulled off a few of those in the nice smooth water in between waves. The rest of the time was spent boosting extremely big air off the perfectly formed kicker waves. We don't get too many days like this, and since it was so cold, I had the whole place to myself.

Nice relaxing afternoon session today, to recover from Thanksgiving dinner. Colder than yesterday, but still nice, although the wind was rather light. I am really liking my new bar.

Quick session this morning before heading to Tim's parents' place for Thanksgiving dinner. Light wind, but I was still able to stay upwind for the most part. I was missing all of my tricks though. I'm blaming it on light wind. Nice and warm today, though.

Pretty lame session today. It's weird, the Chappy sensor said it was blowing like 17 the whole time we were out, but it was really only blowing maybe 12. I could barely stay upwind on Ed's Best Float, and it wasn't really that fun.

Perfect 9m conditions today. Nice steady wind, perfect little waves, and warm temperatures. I did lots of big jumps, several frontrolls, and carved up the waves. All in all a very good time.

I wasn't feeling well today, but went kiting anyways, and I'm glad I did. Today was my first day in the drysuit and I really like it. I also seemed to have achieved some sort of tiredness equivalent of drunken boxing, because I was nailing all kinds of crazy tricks. I landed several good frontrolls, an insanely fast double backroll, an unhooked frontroll (is that an S-Bend?) and had a decent time on the skim as well.

Went kiting at Chappy all afternoon today. Wind was not the best, but I did have several good runs. I landed a clean double backroll and two beautiful frontrolls.
